Class 3 e-charts has largely been available only to customers of newly delivered aircraft. And, often, the solution involves one or two dedicated displays outside of the pilot’s normal field of view.
With the introduction of the Cockpit/IP, IS&S broadens the availability of Class 3 e-charts to the business aviation and commercial air transport market. The IS&S Cockpit Information Portal (Cockpit/IP™) provides the platform for presentation of Class 3 e-chart features with out an additional display unit. With its highly readable flat panel displays, even in direct sunlight, data is available to the pilot for enhanced situational awareness.
