The IS&S Pilot's/IP defines the next generation of flight deck displays; a flight deck information portal into the future. The 12 inch x 9 inch unbroken display area enhances the flight crew ís situational awareness with seamless integration of vital information. Demand for additional flight crew data information and mandatory regulations is anticipated, requiring additional space on already busy instrument panels or displays. Existing displays are limited in their ability to present that information, since multiple displays restrict associative presentation of this additional data. The Pilot's/IP is a highly flexible, cost-effective solution designed to accommodate these demands: Flight and performance data is presented in a familiar, intuitive format. This information can now be associatively displayed, facilitating the rapid recognition of aircraftís position and performance. The exceptional viewing angle of uncompromised formats provides outstanding cross-cockpit viewability. Multiple displays are replaced by a single integrated display format. System reliability is increased, LRU count is reduced by a factor of 5, fault isolation is simplified, and all this is achieved at lower cost!
